Thermals are a crucial garment in the Scuba Diving world as they create modularity within a wetsuit or drysuit. Water temps vary but you don't want to have to buy another wetsuit just to be comfy in a few degrees colder.  This is where thermals come into their own, simply slip on a thermal suit or top/pants before getting into your wetsuit and you'll be toasty! This may seem like an unusual occurrence but it's common for water temperature to fluctuate along the Australian Coastline and it generally fluctuates in the cold direction, as a result of Ekman Transport and Ocean Eddies - get the full rundown on these mechanisms from our pals over at Wetsuit Warehouse.

Feeling cold?  Here's the pro tip: Get a hooded vest for the outside of your suit!  This is because wetsuit zippers are the main reason for feeling cold, that's because they inherently let water in and out. When you create low-pressure inside the wetsuit (eg, arching your back creates low pressure in the lumbar) it simply sucks cold water in through the zipper. When you create high-pressure it pushes that precious warm water back out...
